NID Eligibility Criteria 2026

Program Eligibility Requirements
B.Des / UG (Bachelor of Design) Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2026 are also eligible to apply. Selection is through DAT (Design Aptitude Test).
M.Des / PG (Master of Design) Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years) in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply. Shortlisting and selection are based on DAT Mains, portfolio, and interview (as applicable).
Postgraduate Diploma / PG Programs Varies by program—typically a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum marks as specified by the institute. Check specific program brochure for details.
Reserved Category Relaxation Relaxation in minimum qualifying marks for SC / ST / PwD candidates is as per institute norms. Always refer to the official notification for exact percentages and rules.
